The Green Bottle Community Care & Insurance Model

For clients using insurance, the Green Bottle model works alongside coverage rather than replacing it. Insurance may cover some or all of your care depending on your plan, service type, and eligibility. When insurance does not fully cover services, Community Care tiers can help bridge gaps and reduce financial strain. We work collaboratively to explore coverage options and identify what level of support feels sustainable for you.

The Green Bottle approach is grounded in mutual aid and collective responsibility. Supporter-rate contributions help make reduced-rate care possible, while Community-rate options prioritize access for those most impacted by systemic barriers. This model allows care to remain relational, transparent, and accountable.

A gentle reassurance: you are never expected to justify your needs, explain your finances, or over-share personal details. Choosing a tier—or using insurance—is not a test of worthiness. It is simply a way to ensure care is accessible, sustainable, and aligned with where you are right now.

At its core, the Green Bottle model honors humanity over hierarchy. It recognizes that access shifts, care is shared, and dignity matters. Through this approach, we aim to create a care ecosystem where everyone—clients and providers alike—can show up with honesty, respect, and integrity.

The Green Bottle is a community-care sliding scale model rooted in trust, self-assessment, and dignity. It exists to expand access to affirming, full-spectrum reproductive care while honoring the labor, skill, and sustainability required to offer this work with integrity. Rather than asking clients to prove financial need, the Green Bottle invites reflection and honesty—centering care over scrutiny.

Within this framework, the “bottle” represents your current financial, emotional, and energetic resources. When your bottle feels full or steady, you may have the capacity to contribute at a higher rate, helping sustain access for others in the community. When your bottle feels low, depleted, or in the process of refilling, you deserve support without shame or justification. Both experiences are valid, and both are welcomed here.

Clients are invited to choose from three tiers—Supporter, Standard, or Community—based on their present capacity. This choice is guided by self-assessment rather than external evaluation. No documentation, proof, or explanation is required, and you are welcome to shift tiers as your circumstances change.
