Who I am

I’m Christina—an Afro-Caribbean full-spectrum birth worker and reproductive justice advocate serving Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Raised in Inglewood, California, I come from a lineage shaped by migration, resilience, and deep communal care. In my culture, healing has always lived in the home, the body, and the way we show up for one another. Care was never individual — it was shared, intuitive, and rooted in knowing.

That lineage guides my work. I offer grounded, culturally rooted doula care that honors birth, loss, and healing as sacred transitions. My approach blends ancestral wisdom, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-based support to create affirming spaces where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered.

Growing up, access to reproductive health education and affirming care was limited — especially for Black, low-income, and queer communities. I became the person people leaned on: researching options, translating medical language, attending appointments, and sitting beside friends through abortions and pregnancy loss. In my community, you don’t leave people to navigate these moments alone — you show up, you stay, you hold.

The Homegirl Doula was created as a vessel for that care in a modern world. Rooted in Afro-Caribbean values and reproductive justice, this practice supports queer, Black, and marginalized individuals through fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, abortion, and loss with dignity, autonomy, and cultural respect.

I show up with calm presence, deep listening, and intentional advocacy. Whether supporting birth or postpartum healing, my goal is always the same: for you to feel grounded in your body, supported in your choices, and held in a way that honors where you come from and where you’re going.
